What are your thoughts on Lastings Milledge?

He's off to a good start, seeing the ball well, driving in some runs and stealing some bases. The upside alone warrants a last round draft pick. Are any of you seeing him going in drafts? I know the rest of the lineup is bad, but what is to lose really?

There's really nothing to lose. 20/20 is not outta the realm of possibility with lastings this season...

If he starts and gets 500 ABs I'd say he'll produce somewhere along these lines:
.300
20-25 HRs
85 RBI
80 R
15-20 SB

Still can't believe the Mets traded him for Church and Schneider.

My only problem with him at this point is that he's such a deep sleeper that I never get around to picking him... :-b

Honestly, unless I was in a league with 8+ bench spots, I'm just not going to have room for the guy. I always end up having my OF spots filled well before I start getting into prospects and long-shots. He's in that same realm, and I'd love to pick him, but there just isn't enough spots on the roster. So often I end up lacking in steals and end up going for McLouth if I end up going for a late OF anyway.

I can tell you this... at the first sign of injury trouble or a poor start by my #4 or #5 OF, I'll be scooping him up quickly. Definitely worthy of a look, but unless I'm in a 5OF league, with 12+ teams, and plenty of bench spots, I don't see him getting drafted. His stats could certainly warrant a top 50 OF spot... and for a last-round pick that would certainly be good value.

He's borderline on rosters of 25 or less but above that I think he's really worth a look. And given his youth and expected position in the Nats lineup, I think he'll succeed with SBs and not HRs this year. I'm thinking more like 10-15 HRs and a shot at 25-30 SBs, maybe hit .280 -- key will be 500+ ABs.

Sickles thinks hes gonna blow up this year and be around a .315 average....

he has the talent to do just that but call me still skeptical. i think he'll be around 20-10 or 25-15 on the year with a .275 BA myself. which isnt bad at all and will be worth alot more then his current ADP suggests.

If I remember correctly he tore up spring training last year. If only he could play all year in Florida?

Seriously, I do like him as a sleeper, in a deeper league he is worth a shot.

He's pretty awesome. I've been drafting him late.

He's another over-rated prospect from the NY hype machine, IMO, but I've been wrong before :-D

I don't think he could hit any of my breaking pitches.
