Freshly Drafted, How does it look? WHIR

Postby jmerr1127 » Tue Mar 04, 2008 6:39 pm

Standard Yahoo 5x5 H2H League WHIR

I know i took a few chances with Ellsbury, Saltalamacchia, and Longoria. My reasoning was if one of these players are as good as theyre projected, the risk will be worth the reward. I think my offense has a nice balance of speed power average and runs. I have some surplus on my pitching staff with CL but i like my rotation because it looks like ill have a nice amount of wins a good average and hopefully will win K's every week.

Any thoughts on how i should improve? WHIR

Thanks for the reply on my thread...

Now, I have never done a H2H league but I figured you will probably need more speed since all you've got for that category is Figgins and everyone knows steals come in bunches, so I would probably add another speedster to your roster for when Fig's goes cold. Secondly, you MUST upgrade at SS. Green's avg will destroy your team's overall avg. Thirdly, noone knows that Ellsbury will be the starting CF for the Sox on opening day so give yourself more options there. Lastly, i would look for an extra OF since Hideki will probably not be 100% by opening day either. Other than that, you've got a heck of a team. Your pitching should give you plenty of K's and since this is a head to head league, you can always spot-start!

I hope this helps,

Best of luck to you!
