I've got a 10 team league and normally jump in by around round 4. THIS year I've got Santana as one of my 2 keepers (a first for me), so I won't touch a pitcher till 8 or 9 AND no RP's till after round 10 . . .

I always grab SP when the value is right. I usually try to grab the last or second to last guy in his tier. For instance, I grabbed Lackey in the 6th round of my last draft (66th overall & before any of the potential injury reports came out) since he was the last true ace on the board. Johan, Peavy, Beckett, Oswalt, Hamels, Webb, Harang, Kazmir, Bedard, Verlander, Haren & Felix were all taken before I grabbed Lackey. I try to do this all the way down the tier ladder.
6 sound about right. i like to take one about here and then draft 1-3 after that and you'll have good pitching all of a sudden :O. It also depends how much ur league likes pitching
I grab them all through the draft depending on if they are the best option. I have no problem taking a Santana. I enjoy playing against the people who don't draft pitchers till the 6-7-8th rounds it's not the way to win. My only new draft/non redraft I wasn't in a position to get the top top guys so I took mine in starting in the 5th round.
