I'm one of those guys that reached on him in a recent draft, even though I don't really consider it a reach since I feel he'll pretty easily out-perform his draft position. I took him at 102. I wasn't going to be picking again until 119 and that was the only way I could guarantee that he'd be one my team. He actually went 119 in a draft I did the day before. I probably could have waited, but I didn't really see any players left that I would be extremely dissappointed not having on my team. The players drafted between my pick of Hamilton and my next pick were:
Miguel Tejada Roy Halladay John Smoltz Ben Sheets Michael Young Alex Gordon José Valverde Brad Hawpe Francisco Cordero Rickie Weeks Shane Victorino Nick Swisher Todd Helton Paul Konerko Johnny Damon Billy Wagner
I'm still pretty content with my decision, I think Hamilton has the highest upside of the players listed there for 2008 along with Weeks. But I think Weeks probably has a much lower floor.

If I had him on any teams, I would definitely be seeing how the rest of my league was valuing him, and the possibility of flipping him in a 2-for-1 for a more proven producer who I'd be more confident in.
yea, it's the ultimate sell high if you trade away hammy at this point. until he starts mashing homers at chris shelton's april 06 rate, his value can't be any higher. this was the thread on my trade btw: viewtopic.php?t=328805.

I wouldn't.
I can see Joshy as a 1st round pick next year. he's got that kind of upside.
