Ales Rios vs. Johh Hamilton

I'm not sure if it seems crazy but I think theses two will have similar seasons. Both are turning 27. Hamilton came on like gangbusters last year and now with the help of the d.h. he can stay fresher this year, possibly eclipsing Rios. What do you guys think?

I'm not doubting Hamilton's ability, but I have trouble seeing him playing in enough games to make it happen.

I say think twice before you hit accept. Keep Rios. He is much more likely to post numbers.

I love Hamilton's value potential for where he can be drafted, but I would have to see him actually do it over a whole season before annointing him the next Rios.

But, if you want to crown him........

I can keep Rios just for this year and Hamilton for two more. Just mulling it over. Our league is very homerun heavy and sb light for scoring.

I just don't think Hamilton is nearly as proven... that and he hasn't shown the ability to hit lefties yet or stay healthy. He had one great hot streak last year is about it.

I honestly think Hamilton will be very close to Rios this year.

Josh Hamilton could put up numbers with similar value to Rios, but so could Kemp, D Young, Justin Upton, Francouer, J Hermida, J Willingham, M Cameron, J Bruce, etc. They are less likely to, but they could do it. Or they could continue to do about what they've been doing or regress.

So if you're counting on Josh Hamilton to put up Rios numbers in order to make it worth it for you I think that's a bad idea, as Rios could just as likely ascend into the elite hitters this year.
