What's the word on him going into this Spring Training? Is he supposed to be healthy? Will his velocity return?

I would not consider drafting him. He is a deep sleeper.

yeah i would not bother with him. he's already hurting in spring.

Last I heard he would be ready in May but like BDF mentioned he is already hurting so it might be more like June.

Schmidt lost his value four seasons ago.
It was a sad day. That guy put together three great seasons from 2002 to 2004. Ahhh keeper memories of the past.
