How does this team look?

Postby Xtrm84 » Wed Feb 18, 2004 4:05 pm

I play on Sportsline in a head to head league that has both NL and AL. I took soriano in the first round as I got 5th pick. I know I need pitching but I dont know who to trade or what pitching I can go after. I know there are certain pitchers that just wont be traded. i.e. prior schilliing pedro. Can You take a look and see for yourself?

C-Ivan
1B-Nevin, konerko
2B-Soriano
SS-Nomar
3B-Glaus
OF-Edmonds, Burnitz, Sheffield, Gonzo, Dunn
P-Morris, Foulke, Nomo, armas, Burnett, redman, harden, myers, clement, day, kim

it's a great team actually except for the lack of an ace. your going to have to trade nomar soriano or shef for a pitcher....

Try to trade Sheffield for Bobby Abreu and a solid SP like Webb, Morris, Nomo, or Wolf. I think it would help out both teams. But yes, you do need pitching.

Try to go after another closer too.

You have to move an SP or an OF.

Your infield looks solid

Your team could be pretty good if you can adress the needsd of your pitching. You need at least 1 proven starter and probably 2 more closers.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

Since this is a points based league, I see no reason why you need a starter. Its not like you need a balanced team or anything. Besides, Foulke is your ace. He easily a top 10 P in a points based league anyway.

team is solid

Your team is solid until OF and P....I think that you could give up Nevin for a strong starting pitcher. Konerko is a sleeper candidate this year who should do very well. If you can get a quality starter/closer you will easily make the playoffs.
