From Rotoworld:
May. 9 - 6:45 pm et
John Lackey (triceps) threw 88 pitches over six innings in an extended spring training game Friday.

"He maintained his stuff the whole way," manager Mike Scioscia said. "His workout today was what we were looking for." Barring a setback, Lackey appears to be on track to rejoin the Angels' rotation next week.

It looks like Lackey should be a go on Wednesday.

Confirmed by CBS:

The Los Angeles Daily News reports that Angels manager Mike Scioscia announced that John Lackey will make his season debut Wednesday night against the White Sox. The right-hander, who won 19 games last season and has 69 career victories with the Angels, has been out since spring training with a strained right triceps. "He's gone 90 pitches, so he should have at least 90 in him, maybe more depending on how it goes," Scioscia said. "He went full gorilla and pitched well in his workout in Tempe (Ariz.), so he should be OK."

Now i guess the question is do you start him on his 1st start back or sit him to see how he does before you put him in your lineup?

I'm not starting him because of my pitching matchup this week (the guy has 3 starters and one sucks, so no need to risk it) and I normally don't start guys in their first game back in the bigs after a DL stint, but I just have a good feeling about lackey throwing a solid game tomorrow. I'm thinking 5 or 6IP with 3 or less earned runs, but I'm going to let it play out do to the situation. I benched him in my weekly lineup league as well because I had a bunch of 2 start guys this week.

My gut feeling is that he will put up a respectable performance.
