Pitching is quite a bit riskier than I was hoping for. I just missed out on Verlander/Oswalt and had to risk Kazmir. I also just missed Smoltz and risked King Felix. Then I just missed McGowan later in the draft. I was also targeting Markakis who was picked right before me and wound up going for Abreu.

Overall, a lot of my target guys went just before me, but I do like the balance of my offense...especially for my first draft of the year. How would you rate it? And how can I improve?

Just noticed that nobody drafted George Sherrill...should I make a move for him? Who do I drop? Meche?

Ooohh.. I'm likely going to have a lot of people disagree with me on this one, but I'd leave Sherrill alone - Having just switched over to the Orioles, I have a horrible feeling that he won't post the numbers he did with Seattle; while dropping Meche for him likely wont make or break your season, Id still wait and see on him... hopefully no one else will notice either, and youll get a few spring starts to see how he's handling the new environment/team. As far as your team, the offense is balenced, and looks like it will do well for you, but your pitching, is tight, as you said. I don't think your in TOO much trouble, but maybe try to work out a trade (maybe even with Sherrill -- hah! how great would that be ), packaging someone like abreu with meche and get a mid tier - upper tier pitcher. Idk, I've never been good on valueing out trades. Either way - Good draft overall, and good luck this season!
