New MSN Messenger virus

do not submit info to sites like msnstatus.net or offermanage.net

they are sites that will silently log you out of messenger and log on themselves to send virus emails to your contacts.

barely any data i could find, but the obvious sign is that the site asks for your username and password so it can supposedly tell you who on MSN has blocked you.

i wonder if this would affect xbox live.
Since it uses MSN messenger.

There was also a MSN Messenger virus that can act as your MSN account and attempt to send a zip file that is labeled as a photo or screensaver that contains a virus. It appeared as one of my contacts sending a message to me that says, "I found this on Facebook, is this you?", then a file.

No idea how you get it, but just a heads up.
