advanced player needs feedback

Postby RedsChuck » Thu Feb 28, 2008 8:26 pm

I am in a 12-team 7x7 league. traditional 5x5 stats used with the addition of SO and OBP for hitters and CG and HLD for pitchers. I consider myself a fairly advanced player, but this is my first league with this exact stat-category breakdown. I would just like to know if other users here feel i have a team capable of winning in a league with this format (as near as u can tell without having seen all the teams), and if not where you feell my possible areas of need may be.

position breakdown = C 1B 2B 3B SS OF OF OF UT UT SP SP SP RP RP P P BN BN BN BN BN BN BN

my roster:
C - r.martin
1B - a.gonzalez
2B - c.utley
3B - g.atkins
SS - c.guillen
OF - a.soriano
OF - s.victorino
OF - a.rowand
UT - e.encarnacion
UT - j.kent
SP - c.c.sabathia
SP - c.young
SP - c.billingsley
RP - t.saito
RP - j.soria
P - j.accardo
P - d.lowe
BN - g.soto
BN - t.wigginton
BN - m.cuddyer
BN - a.cabrera
BN - m.buehrle
BN - c.j.wilson
BN - k.escobar(INJ)

any feedback appreciated. thanks.

Thanks. I definitely am glad to have found this site, seems to be a nice resource.

anybody else have thoughts? even just looking at the roster from a 5x5 stanpoint?(i feel fairly comfortable with the extra stats- i attempted to give them some added focus in the draft)

You have got at least 4 players that are in pitcher's parks. They are decent players but won't do so much in at least 1/2 of their games. Conversely, you have a few bats in some nice parks. All in all, I think you will be competitive but you will have to trade if you want to win your league.

Good luck
