Auction Advice

Hello:

Our league is trying the auction format for the first time this season. We are looking to have all but 3 managers be present for a live auction one evening. Was looking into using a service like auctioneer.com

My question is - what is the easiest/best way to incorporate these long distance managers (Would prefer not to use LAN line dial in)? We will have access to a few laptops in our live room, but not enough for everyone. The auctioneer software seems to be a traditional virtual room. Is there any way to, in a sense, have the live auction going on in person while having the results be broadcast in the virtual room?

We've all heard that auction is great. Very excited to test it out! Thanks for any help you guys can lend.

We have done everything from having a manager on speakerphone to setting up a webcam for a manager in NYC.

You're sort of in a bind.

The services like fantasyauctioneer require that everyone connects in... you could maybe do it if you had everyone log in, turn off autodraft, drop out, and then have other people bid for them and then the commissioner assigning them to teams, but it would get really messy.

Your best bet would be to do a conference call and then set up a small message board where you post every time a player is purchased and for how much... maybe buy a draft board from one of the vendors so that you can see it and make sure there's no mistakes.
