So I've only played fantasy football, with maybe mild attempts at baseball in past years, but this year, a friend wants to join a league to give him an excuse to actually follow baseball (weird logic, I know). So I'm trying to find a league that we can set up with pretty customized rules.
I'm thinking a 10-team, 5x5, both leagues.
But not sure about the roster setups that work best for balance/depth but prevent people from hoarding players.
And the main customizable function I'm looking for is a Free Agent Acquisition Budget. We used it for football and it worked great. Nobody had an unfair advantage on getting players from free agency because they had 3 days to put in their bids, and it was taken out of the budget, so no waiver worries either. Are there sites that will set up a bidding process that automatically configures rosters/budgets and such on say, a daily, end-of-games basis?
Or is there an argument for a different free agent system that might persuade me to use a different method.
