while the situations are certainly comparable, it seems to me that this kind of thing happens alot more often in basketball than in baseball. i've actually been hurt more by it in baseball, as i lost a H2H championship one year because of stars on good or bad teams tanking it at the end, but it seems like it is just commonplace in the NBA...actually seems like some teams (Spurs?) do it all season long. But like i've said before, i'll definitely consider selling Pujols to someone who will need him if he comes out hitting like the monster that he is and makes people kinda forget about all this surgery talk.
