In thinking about my own draft, I think that last (10th) pick would be pretty good. If Pujols goes before me then I don't have to worry about it, but if he drops to me, I can snag him and another top talent back-to-back. I think I'd feel more comfortable with that.
I'd be happier about taking him in a 10 team league but this is a 14 team league. I'll still get a good player on the way back but it won't be a high upside stud type guy most likely.

Yeah, I'm definitely with you there. In a 10-teamer, you can justify it because, in essence, you've got two first-round picks in your lap. In that scenario, I might choose to take a little more risk.
I just finished a 20 team league draft with pretty sharp people (editor and writers for the Fantasy Baseball Guide and Pujols went 6th overall after Arod, Santana, Reyes, Wright, Hanley (me)...
I probably would have taken Pujols if Hanley didn't fall to me.

In my 12 tm redraft pujols was there at #9 and I passed and went Braun instead..mainly because Fielder and Howard were still on the board...and I knew that I should be able to get one of the 3 on the way back. I ended up getting Prince..
I dont want to deal with looking for injury news on the guy the entire season...and I think the cards will suck this year so they will have no issue with shuting him down early so his is fully healed for next year.

Good man, but I hope you picked up some power bats later on in case Pujols does go down (and especially since you grabbed Reyes in the first).
