Lyon is suppose to be the closer in Arizona, that's the biggest reason why

first off....no one called these guys "experts". these are just cafe members, just like you, i, and the other 50,000 or however many.

secondly, these were compiled about 3 weeks ago, before the announcement of the closer's job.

thirdly, that being said, many people still feel pena will eventually win the job from lyon, since he is the closer of the future.

Looks great! My only suggestion would have been to use the median rather than the average ranking position to better account for Cadens Dad's....cough....I mean...the outlier rankings.

BTW - I did not even rank Lyon because at the time (3 weeks ago), I thought Pena was going to be the closer. I would have ranked Lyon #30 (out of 30) and taken Pena out.

I did the same thing as you rookies. Lyon was not the closer at the time we put these in. Also, I still believe Pena will end up with the job during the season and with his good numbers, I may actually take him over Lyon if I have two closers already

I haven't looked at my rankings in 4-5 weeks. So, a few things have changed that affected the rankings a bit since then (Sherrill & Lyon up, Pujols down a bit). I jotted down my rankings in about 1 hour, 2 hours tops. So, I'm not quite responsible for any bogey picks you may find.
