If you could trade up or down , what pick would you rather have. At first I was hoping to get the 1st thru 4th pick so I could be assured I could land Arod ,Wright,or Cabrera. Now I am thinking that I could get a later pick and get say Utley and take care of a scarce position and help in 5 categories. Then I would be guaranteed that I would get a great second round pick thoughts?
picks 7-12 have been good to me this year. Taking guys like Ryan Howard, Utley, Fielder, Mcab. Then following those picks with guys like Braun, Rollings, Soriano and Santana.
while 10 in a ten team or pick 12 in a twelve team is usually very nice for the first turnaround, ive noticed this year when the second half picks get to the 3rd/4th round turnaround, they become a bit ugly.. The dropoff after pick 28 is rather large IMO. Thus, this year I hope I get pick 2/3/4/5. Not 1 cause I don't want to pick A-rod

Couldn't agree more, I'm in a 2 keeper 10 team Yahoo league & I've actually traded my 3rd & 4th round picks with players to upgrade my keepers to Santana and J.Rollins and picking the other teams 5th & 6th round picks. I just don't see that big of a gap in the quality in those rounds . . .

No keepers involved, in a 12-team league I'd want #9. There is a small drop off after #9 (in no order: arod, reyes, hanley, utley, wright, howard, cabrera, rollins, holliday), then another one after #16 (in no order: santana, pujols, braun, crawford, fielder, ortiz, sizemore) so you ensure you get one guy from each of the top 2 groupings.
