"the Rays got some good news regarding the condition of Scott Kazmir's elbow. The lefty, who felt pain in the elbow while warming up before an intrasquad game Monday, has avoided a serious injury but will have to rest for about two weeks, according to the St. Petersburg Times. That makes it unlikely that Kazmir would be ready by opening day. "It was just a little scary because I never felt it before," Kazmir said. "But after I talked with (head athletic trainer Ron Porterfield) and everything and we did some of the strength tests, I felt confident it would be all right."
