With Pecota, do you look at the 90% percentile forecast?

Postby kemper5 » Mon Feb 25, 2008 7:30 pm

I raised this question in another Pecota Card subject, but could not come up with a straight answer. This is my 1st year with BP using Pecota, and need to know if most other BP subscribers looking at the Pecota's go with the 90 Percentile Forecast? Looking at last years forcast, all my big boppers of Arod,Fielder,Holliday & V. Martinez all Exceeded 90 percentile for the 07' forcast and then some, (some may have gone 110% if that was an option), then I looked at other big sluggers, and most all of them exceeded 90 percentile as well. Love looking at all the Pecota cards that just came out, and understand there is a ton of science and thought behind them, but do most of you go with the 90 percentile when looking at the forecast?

The percentiles aren't adjusted for playtime so I'd use the playtime projections at the top of the page and I'd also go and manually adjust playtime using your gut instincts because that is not the strong point of the system in my opinion.
