dubstar wrote:is there a max innings pitched like in points? or do you only start 5 guys per week? how exactly does that work?
is it beneficial to start more if it is allowed?
also, ive only played points league, are the player values still about the same in a h2h league. or are speedy guys(or any other type) not as valuable.
any other help as far as h2h would be appreciated.
What service are you using as far as Yahoo, CBS, ESPN etc.?
The answer could vary depending on which provider you use. From my understanding you wish to know what the typical normal H2H league is like without points?
I've used all 3 but have been more loyal to Y! Fantasy. I can't recall their being a max innings pitched in Yahoo, but there is a minimum innings pitched where say if the requirement is 30 innings your pitchers MUST total AT LEAST 30 otherwise you forfeit ALL pitching categories.
As far as starting pitchers, you can use them at your own discretion, in other words you may have as many as you wish 4,5,6 and can start them all number of times but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to. Sometimes when you reach the minimum strategy comes into play where if your easily winning whip and era it might be best to stop throwing your pitchers. It doesn't hurt though to throw all your pitchers on the given days the start.
As far as speedy guys, in H2H its always nice to have a couple guys who are speedy so you don't boot the category each week and cost yourself a point. I tend to see the majority of people go more for power in H2H preferably I prefer 5 tool guys because it gives me an idea of what I'm getting each week.
