Thinking of trying a H2H NL only leage

All I have ever played is mixed Roto, what would you guys recommend I do to prepare for something like this?

I'm in one now that I've done for a few years, and I love it. It depends on what kind of categories you have, but in general wait on starting pitching. With only have of the league, pitchers are too inconsistent to take early, unless you find a steal. Also, target players with good average because that's one category that is hard to find and come back from. Give me your categories and maybe I can help you a little more.
