Some of the comments below the article are even better:

"What about Placido Polanco of the Detroit Tigers for this list. Gold Glove winner in 2007, highest batting average behind Ichiro and Ordonez, hit .350 with 2 strikes (best in the majors) and first everyday second baseman to play a season without an error. Sounds like a top 50 guy to me."

This list is pitiful. Whoever organized that top 50 should be shot. Pujols #16? Chase Uley #33? No Mark Teixeira or Ichiro????? JEFF FRANCIS #47???!!!! Am I missing something?

You just stole my thunder... the comments were even WORSE than the rankings, if that is possible. "Helton not in the Top 50!?!" was my favorite.

Usually when I see this type of post, my first reaction is that either the scoring system is not being considered or the poster is keying off of 1 or 2 unusual rankings (like mlb.com having Kinsler as #3 at 2B, even though everything else looked good). But that is not the case here... these are THE worst rankings I've ever seen.

I know - if Pujols at #16 was the only thing out of place, you could understand based on the elbow issue, but UTLEY AT #33??? Wow.

Some more comments
Curtis Granderson is "Top 5 Player"
Tigers' Centerfielder
Curtis Granderson became only the 4th player in major league history to get
20+ doubles, 20+ triples, 20+ home runs and 20+ stolen bases in the same season. The last player to accomplish
this feat was Willie
Mays and all players who have done it are in the Hall of Fame.
And, you rated him
45th?
You do not know what your are talking about.

Where is Burns....do you guys hate the 1st
place Diamondbacks?
Keep in mind Eric Byrnes is ranked #18
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. -Crash Davis

Yea, these rankings are really bad, it's like they drew names out of a hat, took the real top 75 players and mixed the names up. Horrible, we should all send complaint e-mails in to them, just to have them banned. Unless i'm in a money league I don't want anyone to see these
