Oh no!!! Is this trade vetoable?

Postby TMAC2DARAKBABY » Sat Feb 23, 2008 7:25 pm

Very Large and deep Dynasty League(with farm clubs)

League rules for veto: Collusion or ridiculous deals

I dunno this looks bad to me. If vetoable pls say why.

Team A sends: Wily Mo Pena(OF Wash), Joe Crede(3B CHW), and my 2nd round pick in the current draft (Very very fringe FA)

to Team B for: Edwin Encarnacion(3B CIN), Josh Willingham(OF Florida), and Brandon Wood(3B LA of Anaheim)

am i missing something. This aint close.

Thanks for your help on mine.

I keep trying to look at it your way, but I just can't see this as vetoable under the established league rules, but I am a laissez faire type of trader. Sorry.

I do not think the trade is worth a veto. I honestly dont see why anyone would even suggest to veto this deal. The players involved are fine but not a deal that should raise any questions. I mean I guess you could be upset Brandon Wood is suppose to turn into a very good pro, but with any prospect you just dont know. Trust me I have been believing in Josh Barfield for a long time and had him as one of my prospects.

But for this trade there is no reason to veto.

No veto. I bet Team B owner thinks Pena and Crede could post some nice numbers if they stay healthy and play a pretty full schedule. Obviously he isn't that high on Wood and the upside on Willingham/Encarnacion isn't that high...

Team B is giving up a much better package.

Brandon Wood is a top, top prospect. Encarcion is better than Crede this year and in the future. And Willigham for Pena is about a wash: they both could do something but most likely are about replacement-level OFers. In other words, Team A isn't giving anything up.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
