Being an ESPN.com hater served me well last year. It will take at least another year to give into the temptation espn is offering for free fantasy baseball. That is right about the time they take advantage of all the guinea pigs they worked the kinks out of their interface on, who just happened to have extra incentive to start keeper leagues, by bringing in the fees. As far as I am concerned it is still a good thing because yahoo will have to make a few more concessions each year espn remains free. Hopefully these free lunches keep getting better.

Yahoo used to (in 2006 anyhow) offer you the option to enter the first round/s prior to the actual draft going live. Depends on how you charge for keepers but this could work.

We did our first draft last night on ESPN and it worked great...we have 4 keepers in our leagues, and ESPN just assigned our keepers as the first four picks of each team.

Yahoo does have the option for keepers, but it's part of their PLUS package, and we're all about free leagues...ESPN let's you have divisions for free as well. Top Notch. ;-D

By doing a few referrals this year, out Sportsline league was free.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
