Kim has expressed a desire to start. Does Mantei have any chance of becoming the closer again?

In reality this is all speculation and depends on injuries. Right now besides Schilling and Johnson, the rotation is hurting. Kim will ONLY be given a chance to start if Mantei comes back and stays healthy for a period of time. Plus it depends on the standings. If Arizona is still alive for the postseason, they aren't going to be experimenting too much. However, if they are out of it. You never know what a manager might do.
I'm out!

Go Hokies!

Ok, heres the story with the Kim/Mantei debate. Kim has been wanting to start for the past two or three years and has yet to have the opportunity. Frankly, I dont see it coming at all this year. Even with the dbacks shaky starting rotation after the big two, I think they would rather solidfy their bullpen with Myers, Kim and Mantei.
I really really doubt Kim will start this year, in fact, it would shock the heck out of me. I think they will slowly work Mantei back into the closer role. But Kim will still get some spot saves.
Hope this helps.
