I realize the kid is an uber talent, but unfortuately he is on one of the worst teams offensively in baseball...if not they worst.

Pitchers park is nice, but it would seem logical that he may only win 8 games.

Are the Giants going to be decent anytime soon in the near future?

Any chance he gets traded for offensive help....

While none of those guys are amazing, I mean it's not terrible. It's like the All-Mediocre Team. I still think Lince will get double digit wins.

It's a team of 7-9 hitters. It's entirely possible for him to not win 10 games, Cain only won 7 last year with a 3.5 era and they had Bonds then.

2007 Bottom 5 offense in terms of Rs and their top 2 pitchers W (GS:
WAS - Matt Chico 7 (31), Bergmann 6 (21)
SF - Zito 11 (33), Cain 7 (32)
ChiSox - Vazquez 15 (32), Garland 10 (32)
KC - Bannister 12 (27), Meche 9 (34)
AZ - Webb 18 (34), Davis 13 (33)

Chico, Bergmann, Zito, Garland all had well over 4.00 ERA. Average of 10.8 W per pitcher or 11.5 W per 33 GS.

Let's throw out Webb and Chico since they are the highest/lowest. Average of 10.375 W per pitcher or 11.22 per 33 GS.

I think if Lincecum improves slightly and gets 33 GS, then I would say he is a near lock for 11-12 Ws. Anything over that is gravy.

Hughes will definitely be cheaper so I can see the argument. However, I don't think people should significanlty discount Cain and Lincecum just because their team sucks so bad.

Good pitchers on crappy teams will still get enough Ws. Uing Kazmir as an example because historically the Rays are a horrible team all around and he rarely pitches 6+ IP and pitches in the toughest division in baseball the last three years. Yet he has had W (GS):
10 (32)
10 (24)
13 (34)

That is 12 W per 33 GS on average. Considering that there are not many pitchers of LinceCain's caliber who will get 15+ Ws, I wouldn't discount them too much.
