Sounds logical, a speedy good gloved second baseman is just what the yankees need. A trade to the Yanks will really boost Hairistons value.

But what would the Yanks give up, and why would the Orioles trade within the division?
I'm back. Sorta.

I agree...I think the Orioles will want more than the Yankees will give in this situation.... :-?

If the rumors of the Maddux signing is correct, then this makes sense as the Yanks will have 1 extra pitcher to give away. And the Orioles desperately need pitching. Contreras for Hairston Jr. doesn't sound like a bad trade either.

a) last night on ESPN some guy who lives in NY says he highly doubts the Maddux stuff is true and even Cashman said they werent invloved b) I wish we (the O's) would trade Hairston for some pitching. The one position where we have some real depth, Roberts, and even Fontenot in the Minors. We need to exploit that.
