Tiered pitching rankings

Postby colt4523 » Wed Feb 20, 2008 9:10 pm

I was hoping to get some of the cafe members to put their pitcher rankings into 5 tiers. Who would you put in our first tier (your aces) all the way to the fifth tier (your # 5's in your rotation).

Great list. ;-D
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

That is a good list, this is what I came up with so far:

Tier 1 (starters who should anchor your staff)
Santana
Peavy

Beckett
Bedard
Webb
CC
Lackey

Tier 2
Verlander
Harang
Hamels
Haren
Kazmir
Halladay

Tier 3
Oswalt
Smoltz
Felix
Zambrano
Young

DiceK
Vazquez
Hill
Shields
Linecum
Cain
Sheets
Burnett
Penny
Billingsly
Escobar
Gallardo
Wang
Hudson
Lilly
Myers
Pedro
Maine

I still need to put together my 4th and 5th tiers.

I like this set ;-D

I'd throw in Bonderman, Wainwright, Snell, and McGowan towards the end of your 4th tier
