go to Profile, and go all the way down to the bottom, either choose one from there or upload one from your computer by hitting browse

i made my avatar on sunday after the deal was announced. basically, you make a picture in some kind of paint program, and then convert it into a .gif file.(i downloaded a free file converter) then just make sure it is smaller than 80x80 pixels. then you just import it from your machine. it's has to be under 6kb. it took me a little while to make it work, but once you figure it out its pretty easy.
