Big Injuries?

Postby Dude86 » Tue Feb 17, 2004 5:54 pm

What players do you think will have big injuries this season? I'm not talking about guys like Griffey and Kevin Brown who are constantly on the DL, I'm talking about guys who have been fairly healthy so far. Who's due for a big injury?

Every Major League player, but let's hope there are no injuries at all this season.

Its not really a serious question. You can just answer randomly or answer with players that you'd like to see get injured.

i feel bad hoping anyone gets hurt. But i have to admit i would love to see an infield fly that led Arod, Jeter and Posada into each other at full speed.

Well, you never hope for injuries, but I have a gut feeling that rivera will spend serious time on the DL, also Bret Boone and Javy Lopez...

Trevor Hoffman still has a 40% tear in his rotator cuff so he could go down at any minute.

Luis Gonzalez has a tear in his elbow. One bad throw or swing and he will be the first position player to have Tommy John surgery.

Are those the types of answers you were looking for? Both are true.

I think George Zimmer has a shot of getting put onto the DL a few times this season ;-) .

Man, Griffey and Kevin Brown when talking DL cannot be mentioned in the same breath.
Everyone reckons Kevin Brown is always injured. The guy pitched over 230 innings for 5 years straight then had two seasons of injury problems which he is well and truly over ( 210+ innings last year), and still he keeps getting burnt at the stake. A lot of you guys must still have plenty of fantasy scars from 2001 / 2002 with him. Forgive and forget! He has actually been on the DL less than Curt Schilling over the past 10 years and less recently as well but Schilling and injuries never get mentioned in the same sentence.
