Yovani Gallardo to start season on DL?

Legia13, I completely agree with you. I love what Gallardo has to offer (3.67 ERA Rookie Season) and if you minus 11 runs from one game where he got smashed at Coors Field, he has a 2.84 ERA in his Rookie Season!!! I don't mind if he hits the DL, as long as he is pitching by mid-to-late April or even early May.

I'm wondering if he's still a great pick for a new expansion team in a keeper league?

We do forfeit of pick to keep one pitcher as well as one pick for one hitter.

I was planning on keeping Gallardo and giving up a 16th round pick for him(based on draft last year) Would you still do that in a 12 team league?

i also agree w/ wat somebody said above.. i think this is not bad at all.... cause its not like a shoulder/elbow issue its a knee.. given its important but knowing the brewers they will in no shape rush him back from the knee injury because hes there fuutre and will wait until hes 110% so we can in a way buy low on him.. also gallardo wouldnt had been able to pitch the whole yr in the rotation also so if he can get a month or so off that wont be the worst of news.. i agree im still going after him.... however there are always risk b/c his knee might cause a problem or cause his mechanics to be off but at this point if its a standard 10 team league and u get him in the late rounds the reward is greater than the risk...

Dang...You all can blame me about this. I just turned my keeper list into my commish on Thursday. And Gallardo was my number three pitcher I kept on my list of 12 total players..

But seriously I am just glad it is a knee thing, and a minor one at that. I still expect big things out of him, just have to wait a little longer now...
