My friend and I are starting a Dynasty League with the following rules. This is our first pass and may need some tweaking. We have 5 owners and would like to get to 12. We have played mixed 5x5 for several years, but this is our first try at some type of Dynasty League. We are only using contracts not salaries to keep it from getting too complicated. Post a message with your email if you are intersted. The fee is $75 and all money will be paid out after CBS and Paypal Fees.
Constitution
This is a Dynasty Mixed League with a 25 man roster. 5x5 Standard Roto scoring and standings. Weekly lineups Monday-Sunday. You can not change lineups during the current week. Free Agents are picked up based on Waiver order twice a week, Wed and Sat.
Fee is $75 for each owner and all money will be paid out less Website fee and Paypal %s. Payment via paypal is preferred as to hurry the payment process along so we can draft quickly.
Prizes: Assuming 12 teams
1st Place 350
2nd Place 200
3rd Place 100
Most improved 2nd half 100. Can not be the top 3 teams, guarantees 4 teams win a prize.
The balance will cover website and paypay fees. Any additional or differences will be added or subtracted from the most improved prize. All money will be paid out.
Draft will be slow on-line starting as soon as all teams pay. We want 10-12 teams. Draft order will be randomly selected as soon as all the members sign in.
After the draft ends, all owners will asign contracts to their players as follows:
5 players will have 5 year contracts.
10 players will have 3 year contracts.
10 players will have 1 year contracts.
Once the contracts have been assigned they can not be changed with the exception for the 1 year contracts described below. All future drafts will be reverse order of the prior year standings and it will not snake, each round will follow that order. It is against the rules to tank a season to get a higher draft pick. The rules subcommittee will rule on this if necessary.
Free agents can be picked up twice a week according to the waiver order. No first come first serve pickups. All pickups will have a 1 year contract for the current year. Dropped players will lose their contract status.
At the end of the season (regular season) all rosters will be frozen for pickups. Trades will be allowed during the off season. Contracts follow the players when they are traded.
At the end of the season, teams can give two of their 1 year players either drafted or picked up, a two year extension. Players given a 3 or 5 year contract from the draft are not eligible to get the extension, even in their final year. This is for drafted or free agent pickups with 1 year contracts.
