whats the status on this guy? will he be closing games for the giants? or will Joe Nathan take the job?
Who will be the closer for the Mets?
here is my list of closers beyond the big guns...
Justin Speir
Joe Nathan (?)
Dannys Baez
Shawn Chacoon
one of those guys will have to hit it big this year with 40+.....

Nathan pitches in Minnesota now and he will be the closer there. I'd look at Herges doing the closing if Nen isn't able to.

Looper will close for the Mets
Nathan is the favorite to close for the Twins, but Crain is right behind him
Spier might get a job soon
Cordero for Montreal might get a chance later in the season
closers are a mess, go for the sure fire one's if you can

interesting, i had read some where that Nathan was a big sleeper with big upside in the '04 season,
also no thoughts on Shawn Chacoon? he had a solid first half last year and i read something that he has the "stuff" to close games but can he work in coors? i think so, i think he could handle the job their.

I think Shacon i gonna have the best full season by a rockie pitcher ever and might even brake the 4.00 era mark!!! (yippie)
Seriously. 40 saves is not a strech if Jimenez saved 41
