Manager Larry Bowa discussed his new batting lineup idea with the Philadelphia Inquirer on Monday, and he wants first baseman Jim Thome to hit third. Thome was in the fourth spot for much of the 2003 season. "Jimmy's a big home run hitter," Bowa said of Thome. "You might be able to get him up an extra time every game by hitting him third." In Bowa's revised order, outfielder Marlon Byrd would bat leadoff, followed by shortstop Jimmy Rollins, Thome, outfielder Pat Burrell, and outfielder Bobby Abreu.
But more importantly, if Burrell continues to struggle like last year i'm not sure i'd want to draft Thome now. He'll get walked pretty much every time with Burrell behind him.

Uh... how come it took Bowa so long to realize this revelation?
Thome is still the #2 best 1B out there in my opinion. (if you don't count Pujols at 1b that is.)

Even over Delgado Trev?
And does your league factor in walks?

easily over Delgado.
Look at their 3 year averages.
My top 5 (not including Pujols)
1.Helton
2.Thome
3.Sexson (#2 hitter's park now)
4.Giambi
5.Delgado

How much does that increase Jimmy Rollins fantasy value?
