So strange seeing a Mets player go to arbitration. Was really hoping the Mets could extend him but I guess that was wishful thinking with Boras as his agent. :-[

Yes it wouldbe great to get him locked up long term. Omar said he's no longer negotiating a long term contract with him currently.

Which is silly. If Ollie was open to negotiating now (which he may not be, I don't know) the Mets definitely should lock him up.

I agree completely. He's young and a lefty and we need to lock him up before he hits the free agent market.

He's probably not looking to negotiate now, his agent is Scott Boras who we all know takes his guys to free agency.
