Lee's production is money in the bank. Even if you think Ellis' production is anywhere near Lee's, you cannot count on Ellis being as consistent as Lee. Go ahead and draft Ellis in the 2nd round or pay $25-$30 for him.

One another thing to keep in mind is that hitter's with as much power and consistency as Carlos Lee are relatively rare. You can find good defensive outfielders and second baseman at any minor league level which makes Lee more valuable IMO.
