Overall this year Castillo has still had some value, limited as it may have been. It certainly has been greater than Kent's.
As far as saying in X amount of games he was productive is being false, well for me he has been productive. I'm not cherry picking games, those are his numbers on my roster. He was very valuable to me as my MI before he hit the DL. I've had difficulty covering the position since.
Extrapolated over a season he was giving me 100 runs, 10 HR's, 70 RBI's and 40 SB's with a .265 BA.Even if Kent had have been available I would not have touched him with a 10 foot barge pole. He's garbage. 40 runs scored in 430 ab's is absolutely pathetic for a guy that has hit in the 3 and 4 hole all season on a team that is going to win the NL West.
