Is that 190 innings at the major league level?
He's supposed to start the season in the rotation because Joba is going to start in the pen. When Joba comes to the rotation midseason, I'm not sure who is going to get booted and I don't think the Yankees know either. I think they are hoping it sorts itself, the only way in my eyes that Kennedy ends up not in the rotation at any point will be of his own doing. At that point, he probably wouldn't be worth owning anyway.
I like him, but what are his chances of making the rotation?
Really like him Yoda. I live close to the A's and look forward to seeing him this year. I'd say his chances of making the rotation are good. The A's have some pretty high injury risk guys, Harden, Deusch, even Gaudin's been knicked up lately. That, combined with the fact Gio is better than everyone else the A's have, I say we see him sooner than later.
This is a guy I'm taking a chance with in a couple leagues. The Giants have completely bungled it up with him, but if he can put it together he'll be special.
Anyone got any thoughts on Jair Jurrjens? He was looking good last year until a grabbed him for a spot start in August versus the Indians and he laid big egg, in spring training he seems to be doing fairly well though. Might be a guy I consider grabbing as a #5 starter.
