Dallas McPherson's current fantasy value

Postby Jenkins » Tue Feb 12, 2008 6:32 pm

How would you rank McPherson among all the current prospects? Does he still have the huge upside he once did or have injuries ruined him?
I saw he has a chance to start at 3B for the Marlins.

Thanks for any insight you can provide, post a link and I'll reply.

I can't say McPherson signing with Florida is good for his owners because I doubt anyone even owns this guy anymore. :-b

Looks like he is competing with Castillo and Cantu for the job and if he shows any kind of power during Spring Training, I don't think it will be tough for him to get the nod over those two. Assuming he can stay healthy, McPherson still has power potential, but his AVG will never be high enough for him to be a great fantasy player.

i really think that McPherson is going to win the job, and i wouldn't be surprised if he knocks out 20HR's. The guy must have a chip on his shoulder that wants to prove he belongs and his bat is legit, i think he is a nice sleeper

I would view McPherson the way people did Hamilton minus the addiction. He could comeback and smash since he is only 27 and not much competition at 3B.

I think he wins the job. Offense on that team won't be great, but he could put up decent numbers if healthy all year
