Seems like there has been no hype on this guy. Throws mid 90s and his best pitch is a splitter. Keeps the ball on the ground and will be pitching in a pretty decent venue.
Any projections on this guy?

My understanding is although all Japanese ballparks are small, his home park was considered a "bandbox" even by Japanese standards.

These are my projections for him 174 IP 10W 4.02 ERA 1.40 WHIP 129 K 6.70 K/9

Sounds like reliever stuff. I honestly don't know much about the guy, and would be really hesistant to draft him unless it was a deeper league. Was he an elite pitcher in Japan similar to Dice-K?

Shandler has him at 145ip 9W 4.34ERA 1.35whip 6.1 k/9
I think he might be useful as a "matchup" pitcher in h2h

similar to what I thought his numbers would be
I actually expect the DOdgers to contend this year which should give Kuroda double digit wins imo.

i guess you can say the best thing i like about him is the team he plays for.... i mean realisticaly i was more excited about Igawa last year
