I highly doubt that you had a problem when the Sox bought
a few players this offseason. It is a problem in baseball but blame the system and not the Yanks. Any fan would love to have an owner that did whatever he felt needed to be done to improve the team. If there were more than a handful of teams out there that spent money, then the Yanks wouldn't have as many players to choose from. Unfortunately, most of the teams would rather just take the luxury tax money and put it into their pockets. George is a great businessman. He bought the team over 30 years ago for $10 million and the team's value is now approaching $1 billion. He continues to make great business decisions and puts his money back into the team.
