I think Yahoo is the best personally. CBS is 2nd but they're not quite Yahoo.

Personally I think free programs are a waste of time. Why would anyone want to play fantasy baseball for six months with nothing to show for it if you win your league? I have been playing in pay to play programs for 15 years. What you want to look for here are programs which give you a great website,
a format you like (H2H vs Roto), and good prizes relative to your entry fee. I have tried many programs and found a great one by accident back in 2000. It's called Mr Sports and has everything I wanted in a program. The owners are people friendly unlike so many others I tried. If you don't mind spending $150-$230, give this one a try. I'll be happy to help you if you decide to buy an existing team or want to draft one from scratch.

cbs.sportsline has made improvements to their free service.

and...you can use a free service and still play for money with your friends...obviously. Actually, I prefer it because 100% of fees is paid out in winnings. Pay sites take cuts.

Yahoo is pretty good. CBS Sportsline is also pretty good for free leagues.

ESPN has had problems in the past but it's getting better.

I must admit, I went a little overboard this year. Last year was my first year playing fantasy baseball and I just stuck with MLB. This year, I'm doing Yahoo (as a player in one league and a commissioner in another league), ESPN, CBS and MLB. My Yahoo teams are doing the worst, but I think it's the friendliest site. ESPN is doing the best, but would say that's second. My CBS team hasn't been drafted yet and am wondering if it ever will. So that's a bit of a problem, just waiting to get the league full before drafting. MLB is easy and good for beginners as you have less to worry about.

Just my two cents.
