Geena Davis wasnt in Major League....she was in A League of Thier Own.

I forgot about Dottie Hinson! I think I'll make her my catcher now. She was the best player in the league and a great defensive player, she had to be, catching in a skirt can't be easy. Let Johnny Bench try to do that! :-)

As for Crash Davis, he is overrated. He only spent 21 days in "The Show" and the all-time minor league HR record is 484 by Hector Espino not the 246 claimed in the movie.

I know that you we were going to get into pitchers later, so I guess you could consider this guy as a DH on nights he doesn't pitch.

While not real impressive offensively my catcher for pure defensive reasons would be Spike (John Candy) from Brewster's Millions.

Another catcher to consider is the Great Hambino (Sandlot).

For pitchers I'd pick Rick Vaughn and Harris (Major League), Roy Hobbs (The Natural), Nuke LaLoosh (Bull Durham, even though Tim Robbins was the most unconvincing fireballer ever to step foot on a mound), and Henry Rowengartner (Rookie of the Year).
