I wonder what affect, if any, this will have on the campaigns. I read an article a few weeks ago that hypothesized that the greater-than-normal turnouts that have been seen in many of the primaries could be attributed at least in part to people paying more attention to current events and news because there wasn't as many other shows on TV. Seems to make sense.
I have enjoyed it. All the shows that suck have been off the air here. Conan has been even more "out there" then usual, and it has been good. I have loved having no awards shows etc because they are just pompous. I was hoping the oscars would be cancelled , because there is enough (Something) french kissing on tv already. Sorry if this offends, but it is true.

I don't think much of the award shows either especially come Oscars time when the local media analyzes the individual award races too much. However, Oscars are massive for the economy in these parts. Its fun to walk down Hollywood & Highland during Oscars week to see the entire block with Oscar statues galore and some hot beat reporter chick taping something for TV.

Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
