I think Josh Beckett is way overrated after his great post season performance. Plus, his blisters worry me about his mechanics. Kevin Brown is so good, but he could probably get hurt sleeping. RJ is a stud, great mechanics, won't get hurt again. Oswalt needs to get a new groin. Hudson is just plain solid. Vazquez's potential has not yet been tapped as it will in NY. But all of these things depend on the situation, so with that said.

If I had the choice of those pitchers with Game 7 on the line, all with the same batting order to support them:

Brown
Hudson
Vazquez
Oswalt
Beckett

If I had the choice with them on their current teams:

Brown
Vazquez
RJ
Hudson
Oswalt
Beckett

If I had the choice knowing their past injury problems:

Beckett's numbers were damn good during the regular season too!

3.04 ERA and slightly over a K per inning...

I read an article concerning RJ it was saying that he has no cartilage left in his knee and it is basically bone on bone...he gets injections to "lubricate" it...and its his plant leg...I wouldnt be too certain about him staying healthy

I suppose since this is a fantasy site, and I wouldn't be using these players for any other reason than my fantasy team, I should list them in fantasy order.

RJ - 4 category man
Vazquez - on the yanks (wins) and top in Ks last year
Oswalt - would put him over Vazquez if he didn't have injuries.
Brown - injuries, getting old. So risky. But he is on the yanks and is one of the best when he is pitching well. Low ERA and WHIP.
Hudson - doesn't have Ks, and is on offense deprived A's
Beckett - injury prone, also doesn't have the best offense behind him, still mad at him for beating my cubs

Didn't see that about RJ. What did the article expect out of him this year?

I think Becketts blister probs are behind him...its not like it a shoulder or elbow...not too worried about that.

The article just said that he was a risky proposition since the knee he had surgery on is his plant leg....I was going to make a run in about the 3rd round at him, until I read that...if it gives him problems, it will screw up his delivery even if he can pitch through it
