stupid wife gets me a bunch of chocolates which I probably won't eat, a card, Star Wars pens and an iTunes gift card (because she used up all mine that I got for Xmas). Now she is expecting me to get her crap. Great.

Oh man that was rough...

First I got dropped into the "Friend Zone" . To be fair I knew from the onset that there was a fair chance of this happening but decided to give it a go anyway. It still kinda pisses me off though.

Secondly; I am a senior in college right now and have been looking for a Finance job. I got to the final three candidates for a position at a pretty awesome consulting company and got through three rounds of interviews. I was on my game and aced every interview. Of course two weeks later is Valentines day; the day they decide to let me know I didn't get the job.

It is funny looking at the day. It could have been one of those defining days of my life, or just the major utter disappointment that it was. Hey at least I went down in a burst of flames going for things "out of my league" hehe

Tip: Make her something.

Hits a home run every time when she sees you've taken time and imagination to do it, instead of automatically buying flowers and chocolates like a robot.

Saves money too. Flowers mysteriously go up in price around Valentines day.

Funny you say that because I quit my job today. Imagine if I had a girlfriend or worse, was married.
