Screw Valentines Day. Dead seriously. Why is there a day for people who love each other to say they love each other and/or do special things? Do nothing, make her think you aren't the ordinary guy who has to be romantic on a fraudulent day made for businesses to make money. Be mysterious and surprise her one day when she'll least expect it if you really want to do something. That'll really make her smile. Just words of wisdom from your smooooooooooovest thug.

Ask her to the dance, son, unless your college still honors Sadie Hawkins Day. As far as "love day" goes, ask her if he she wants to hang out. If she can't, just say what kind of fun she'll be missing out on and maybe she'd say fine and go out with you. I don't know, sounds like you're making a big deal out of nothing again as usual.

I don't post around here as much as I used to (which wasn't a lot to begin with...I lurk), but I had to respond.

Q, don't you know how to practice Dice Theory? You stop dating them at Thanksgiving and pick up again AFTER Valentine's Day. You get to miss:

Visiting any of her relatives at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Buying her any gifts for Christmas or Valentine's Day saving you a boatload.
Conflicting appointments on Super Bowl Sunday.
etc

And you can:

Rock it with any chica who's home for the holidays and feeling lonely.

Or you could be a classy guy and all . Either way, hold off on the VD gifts UNLESS you go out with her on that specific day. Or unless you hit it the night before VD.

There will be no V-day in this house this year, and she was told that nearly a year ago. She didn't remember Steak & BJ Day last year (March 20th), so she's not getting a Valentine's Day this year.
