while not quite ARod caliber news (hehe, what is?), the new owner of the Dodgers has replaced the GM with Paul DePodesta-Billy Beane's former assistant GM. while i don't suppose that this will result in even a Blue Jays type season for the Dodgers, the next few weeks will interesting.

Moderators-I was trying to sign up, but couldn't figure out how to put a cool logo in my signature. what's the trick?

I believe that you need to use the IMG tags.

[img] then the image, then [/img]

I'll give this a bump to make sure. I've never tried to put a pic in my sig.

wait-not you sig that you use in your posts, the one to the left of your posts that has your name and the little Saturn or whatever?

Sign in, and then go to your profile. You can upload it there; but it has size and space restrictions.

Just fill in the registration page and then toward the bottom there's a spot to upload your own avatar. :-)

As to the Dodger news:

I heard about that this morning. I read Moneyball, and this could be a very good thing for LA. If they get a bunch of OBP guys who draw walks, this team could be great. After all, the ballpark could have horrible visibility and walls 1000 feet away, it still can't cut down on the walk.

Yep, doesn't matter where the fences are if you can get 4 walks in an inning. ;-D
