Oh, the Yankees system isn't that bad. Anderson and Jose Garcia don't seem half bad as pitchers. And Henn has some upside, though I don't know that he was worth paying Arod 9 million a year to play for the Yankees.

That's the best quote I've seen all day. Glad to see there are more Wonka fans here.

I'm also a huge Wonka fan. One of my favourite movies of all time. As a kid, nothing took me to a different world like watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. And the subtleties that you catch on to as an adult are also cool, because you never even noticed them as a child.

I was hoping the Rangers got Contreras out of the deal.

Oh well

This would be funny if it weren't true. Good thing George doesn't need a farm system, he just gets the players other teams developed when they become FA.

A bit of a reminder here: in this offseason alone how did they get A-Rod? Vazquez? Brown? Oh, right, they traded for them.

But the lack of prospects now is a problem, with only the one catcher, whose name I forget how to spell, worthy of note.

I believe you're thinking about Dioner Navarro.

It was pretty ironic when Lowe said that Boone screwed them twice. Once with the homer off of Wakefield and once by getting hurt and opening the door for A-Rod.

Incidently, Rotoworld just reported that its not neccessarily Henn, who is the throw in.

They listed a coulpe of other nonpitching prospects.
