Dominguez or Teagarden: better fantasy value?? WHIR

I am in a dynasty draft right now: I have it narrowed down to these 2 guys: Matt Dominguez 3B or Taylor Teagarden C.

Who would you pick right now if you had no current needs to fill? Who has better fantasy value or bigger upside?

Our league is a standard H2H 6x6.

I think I would take Dominguez over Teagarden.

Both guys are more known for their defensive prowess, rather than their offensive output.

I would take Teagarden. I know you said not to consider position, but it is down right impossible to ignore. Dominguez is average to below average offense for a fantasy third baseman. I think Teagarden could be average to above average fantasy catcher. Plus he is a lot closer.

agreed i don't think either will be big offense wise, i have heard that dominguez has a nice glove though. I would go teagarden being at C but would consider other options overall

Actually I need more insight into Teagarden. He put up 28 2B's, 27 HR's, 94 R's, 83 RBI's, and a .300+BA between A/AA ball this year. Is it just the strikeouts that are a concern? How does this equal average offense at catcher? Was this totally a fluke?

I think I had also heard that although he was a very good defensive catcher, he was having trouble throwing down to 2nd after his arm injury. Maybe I got this mixed up with a different prospect, but I thought I heard that about Teagarden.

Teagarden was drafted out of Texas becuase of his defense especially his game calling ability. The tremendous offense output last season was a bit unexpected, but shows he has the skills to produce enough with the bat to provide a solid avg. and 15+ HR's once he reaches the MLB level. The strikeouts are a concern. He should be an above avg. fantasy catcher once he gets his shot, but he does have road blocks in Salty and fellow prospect Max Ramirez.
